Purchase only Linux pre=loaded machines. Better still, buy a motherboard(ASUS, MSI etc.,), a compatible processor, and build your own machine — tons of help material to help you
accomplish this.
Couldn’t agree more. Locking of hardware and BIOS (Insyde) is annoying. I used to prefer AMD over Intel but these days with A8-A10 APU series portable devices the vendors tend to lock BIOS, which causes inconvenience while installing prorietary (ATI) video drivers. M$ thinks their users are dumb and keeps them from tweaking hardware settings. High time people check these things before making a purchase.
